How it works

For HVAC and refrigeration techs and companies who have to keep refrigerant records under EPA Section 608. Type your notes the way you'd text them (“3/12 RTU 2 at Main St Market, R-410A, full charge 18 lb, added 4 lb, leak at the Schrader, repaired. 4/2 walk in cooler, R-404A, recovered 6 lb”). HVAC Refrigerant Log turns them into clean records, one row per event: the date, unit, customer, refrigerant, appliance type, full charge, what was done, pounds added or recovered (ounces converted), where the leak was, and the tech and certification number. The app works out the totals for each unit and the annualized leak rate each time refrigerant was added (40 CFR 82.157), and flags any unit over EPA's leak rate limit for its type: 10% for comfort cooling, 20% for commercial refrigeration and 30% for industrial process refrigeration, so you know which systems need a repair and verification test. Download a spreadsheet and keep adding to it.
